Snow Basin - Utah

Description}: The south end of Snow Basin, in the Wasatch Mountains, just the other side of Ogden, Utah. I love Snow Basin. Since it's not in Salt Lake or Park City it isn't nearly as crowded, it's got 3000 feet of elevation with long, fast lifts, and lots of wide open runs - both groomed and powder. Shhhhhhhh - keep it quiet.

Description}: Unknown telemarker on a bad day at Alta. It never dropped below 30 degrees farenheit and the powder was pretty heavy and crusty in spots. It was still better than California :P

Description}: Snow was a bit wet and sticky, but there was plenty of it, and it didn't rain on us! I counted about 6 avalanches in the distance while we skied. We never saw one but they sounded big. As you can see, it was prudent to stay out from under the trees. They were letting loose some huge piles of snow.
